New Land Community Center/AACS operates a Food Voucher Program that provides emergency food for older adults in the community. The program is designed for emergency situations only, and not for chronic situations
Food vouchers may be used to purchase food at a participating local grocery store or supermarket. Food vouchers may not be used to purchase alcohol and non-food items.
Our Food Pantry Program provides a free, three to five day supply of emergency groceries once every month for residents of the Ridgewood community who do not have enough food because they lack the resources to purchase it.
The food pantry is designed to provide one food order per household or shared kitchen. Persons residing in the same household and sharing a kitchen will receive food as ONE household. No documents are required
A client can expect staple items like vegetables, fruit, pasta, sauce, and prepared food in a can such as corn or beans. Supplies are limited and food is distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
